About Rotate PDF
Rotate PDF fixes pages that are sideways or upside down, a common problem with scanned documents and photos converted to PDF. The rotation is saved in the file, so it looks right in every PDF reader.
Rotate every page at once or turn individual pages using the buttons on their thumbnails. The page content is not redrawn, so text stays selectable and nothing loses quality.
Features
- Rotate all pages or individual pages
- Live thumbnails that show the new orientation
- Lossless: only the page rotation is changed
Why use it
- Readable scans without rescanning
- Permanent fix that works in every reader
- No upload needed
How it works
Each page’s rotation value is increased by the angle shown on its thumbnail (set page by page or with Rotate all) with pdf-lib. The content itself is not re-rendered, so quality is unchanged.
Examples
Sideways scan
Input: 1-page scan rotated 90° clockwise
Result: An upright page.
Mixed report
Input: Rotate only page 4 (a landscape table)
Result: The table page turns; the other pages stay as they were.
Rotate PDF: frequently asked questions
Is the rotation permanent?
Yes. It is saved in the new PDF, unlike rotating the view in a reader.
Does rotating reduce quality?
No. Only the page’s orientation setting changes.
How do I rotate just a few pages?
Click the rotate buttons on those thumbnails only. The thumbnails show exactly how each page will be saved.
