About Add Page Numbers to PDF

Pick the position, the format (such as “Page 1 of 10”), the starting number and the font size. You can leave the cover page unnumbered, and numbers are placed correctly even on rotated pages.

Add Page Numbers to PDF: frequently asked questions
Does skipping the first page change the count?
The first page is left blank and numbering starts on page 2 with your chosen first number; the total counts the numbered pages.
Can I choose the font?
Numbers use Helvetica, a clean font available in every PDF reader.
Will numbers cover my content?
Increase the distance from the edge if your document has very small margins.
